At Nagpur City Police, we see our youngest citizens not just
as the future, but as our present — curious, eager, and full of promise. It’s
our privilege and responsibility to help them feel safe, informed, and
supported.
Recently, we visited Shri Rajendra English High School &
Junior College, Nandanvan to connect directly with students in a friendly and
open session. This was not about lectures, but conversations — about real-life
choices, trust, and staying safe.
We spoke about:
✅ Emergency helpline numbers
every child should remember: 112, 102, 101, 1091, 1098, and 1930 ✅
The meaning of traffic signs and symbols, and why following them keeps everyone
safe✅ The courage to say “No” to strangers and tell trusted adults about anything that
feels wrong✅ Understanding good touch and bad touch to protect
themselves and their friends✅ Cyber safety: being careful
online, not chatting with strangers, and thinking twice before sharing or
forwarding messages✅ Choosing kindness over
bullying and remembering that words and actions matter✅
Spending more time outdoors, playing and learning, rather than on screens
We also introduced them to Operation Thunder 2025, sharing
the serious effects of drug use — how it harms health, damages futures, and can
break family bonds. Our message was clear: staying away from drugs means choosing
a healthy, confident life.
What moved me most were the students’ thoughtful questions
and eager participation. Their curiosity reminded us why conversations matter:
children want to understand, and they trust us when we speak with honesty.
This isn’t just about giving safety instructions; it’s about
building trust between police and children — showing them that we’re here not
just to enforce rules, but to guide, support, and protect.
At Nagpur City Police, we remain dedicated to these values,
because prevention through awareness is as important as protection through law.
Stay safe, stay kind, and remember — we are always here for
you.
