A New Mandate for Nagpur
On assuming charge as the Commissioner of Police, a firm resolve took root — not only to maintain law and order, but to go beyond and eliminate the root causes of crime. We aimed to connect with citizens, seek their support, and establish maximum dialogue.
Policing is more than arrests; it's a social responsibility. Surprise inspections, confronting criminals, and issuing direct warnings were just the beginning. The objective was clear: crime and disorder would not be tolerated.
The Voice of the People
Through traffic drives, cybercrime campaigns, and safety programs, we heard a common, painful statement from families across the city. These were not complaints; they were stories filled with grief and despair.
“Sir, my child has gone astray… fallen into drugs.”
It became evident the true issue was youth losing direction to addiction. This is what gave birth to ‘Operation Thunder’.
